Balancing Stick Pose

Balancing Stick Tips:
  • Keep your arms with the ears or behind the ears.
  • Keep your kicking hip down and level. To prevent twisting the hips, after you step pause and consciously keep your back hip down.
  • After stepping, keep your eyes straight ahead or slightly up toward the ceiling.  If you look at the floor, the shoulders will "collapse" forward.
  • Only go as far as you can with both legs straight and engaged.
  • Don't "break the shoulders".  Keep the shoulders and chest opening.
  • When you are perfect in the pose, the eyes will gaze approximately 4 feet ahead of you on the floor.
